- Identify prescriber opportunities for specialty products in specific disease categories and execute outreach strategy to inform and onboard practices.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to achieve sales goals.
- Meet designated call expectations for assigned prescribers, focusing on key targets, influencers, and pipeline leads.
- Cultivate and develop key business relationships within the targeted regional territory, particularly within specialty practices and hospital settings.
- Collaborate with field sales representatives to address sales escalations and ensure optimal prescriber and patient experiences.
- Support the delivery of key messages and product presentations within initiatives aimed at meeting performance requirements.
- Handle customer complaints with discretion and professionalism, forwarding them to appropriate administrative staff as needed.
- Manage prescriber communication preferences, nurturing and enhancing relationships to improve loyalty and retention.
- Utilize the ASPN Prescriber Portal to expedite the processing of account prescriptions throughout the workflow process.
- Assist with prior authorizations by following up on outstanding issues and facilitating coordination and communication.
- Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”).
- Preferred: 2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience, familiarity with pharmacy terminology, billing, drug names, and IV dosage calculations.
- Preferred: 2 years of inside or outside sales experience in pharmacy or related health services industry.
- Desired: Experience in specialty product sales, though not required.
- Exceptional probing and consultative communication skills.
- Understanding of drug reimbursement, Managed Care Medical Specialty, and PBM drug benefits.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in data entry, computer skills, and CRM software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team and promote organizational goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
