Job Title: Business Finance Intern - Performance AdditivesSummary: 3-month internship program focusing on supporting the Performance Additives (PA) Commercial Finance team in developing statistical modeling based on internal and external data-based indicators to better predict Sales Volume, Pricing, Revenue and Inventory trends by Segment by Region.Responsibilities Include:Commercial Finance related Projects: Design and implement statistical models to support the PA Commercial Finance team in developing statistical models based on internal and external data-based indicators to better predict Sales Volume, Pricing, Revenue and Inventory trends by Segment by RegionData Cleaning and Preparation: Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, transforming, and organizing it.Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, correlations, and patterns in data.Predictive Modeling: Build predictive models using statistical methods (e.g., regression, time series analysis, machine learning).Database Design: Design and develop databases to store and manage statistical data.Completes other duties as assignedTravel:Less than 10% or based on business needsQualifications:The following are required for the rolePursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fieldData-Driven and Problem-solving skilled individual with previous internship experience running data analytics and modelling in a corporate environment.Data Visualization: Organize, interpret, and visualize statistical findings.Software Knowledge: Big data, Data Structures, Machine Learning, Tableau, Microsoft Office, MS Excel.Program Requirements:The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.The following are preferred for this role:Programming Languages such as Python, SQL, JavaPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, use hands to type, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, and do extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move a light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Light lifting is required.The environment for this position is an office setting.
