We are currently working with a leading manufacturing company, who specializes in automation and industrial products. We are looking to add a Store Manager to the team who is willing to grow in their position and bring a positive mindset to the role!B2B sales & aftermarket sales experience is preferred!Primary Directives:
  • Manages company store to meet customer needs and maximize sales and profitability.
  • Works toward meeting any stated Goals and Objectives for the Branch.
  • Manages the physical organization and inventory of the store and warehouse.
  • Ensures that business processes of the Lansing branch are executed effectively, accurately and in concert with procedures established by the corporate office.
  • Supervises support personnel.
  • Supports sales activities.
  • Responsible for the management and disposition of documentation pertinent to the operation of the branch.
Responsibilities & Directives:
  • Maintains an atmosphere and culture of teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude.
  • Ensures timely and accurate fulfillment of sales orders, meeting stated On-time goals.
  • Assists customers in the store.
  • Provides technical consultation and makes product recommendations.
  • Assists in the identification of fluid conveyance components.
  • Fabricates hose assemblies on demand.
  • Generates quotes and enters sales orders both directly for customers as well as in support of Outside Sales.
  • Works with company sales and management personnel to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Communicates lost sales opportunities due to stock out conditions.
  • In collaboration with the branch operations manager, reviews, and acts on periodic Backorder Reports, generated at minimum, weekly.
  • Supervises warehouse, sales-counter, and office staff.
  • Fosters a culture of customer-focused teamwork.
  • Promotes an environment of empowerment, mutual respect and trust while holding team members accountable for their actions.
  • Documents and assists in conducting performance evaluations of team members.
  • Collaborates with corporate office regarding hiring, firing, major disciplinary, and compensation decisions.
  • Follows and enforces policies in the Employee Handbook.
  • Works with purchasing personnel to plan and schedule procurement of inventory.
