This role is pivotal in bridging customer needs with our extensive digital healthcare product portfolio. You will play a key role in defining end-to-end solutions that are economically viable and exceed customer expectations. As an Application Solution Architect, you will participate in both the presales and deployment phases, ensuring that our solutions are well-designed designed, well-documented, and successfully implemented in alignment with our organizational goals.Specifically in this role, you will:
  • In the presales phase, gather customer requirements and design end-to-end solutions that meet their needs leveraging on Dedalus's portfolio.
  • Define standard, repeatable, and sustainable solutions that can be pre-validated internally before sales. Develop and maintain architecture blueprints and integration diagrams to clearly convey design and implementation plans both internally and to customers.
  • Ensure that service quotes are optimized, based on the given constraints. While identifying potential technical risks and working with stakeholders to prepare effective mitigation strategies.
  • During the implementation phase, act as a technical advisor, facilitating the transition from sales to delivery and providing guidance to the technical team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong relationship with global PBUs, share you field experience and collaborate with presales to influence product roadmaps and feature prioritization based on regional needs. This includes conducting regular meetings and workshops with PBUs to ensure good alignment, especially for complex cross-domain solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and emerging technologies, evaluating their impact on our solutions, and assessing potential technological partnerships.
Requirements
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Engineering, Science or Economics disciplines, preferably in Biomedical Engineering or Health informatics, or equivalent relevant working experience
  • Deep understanding of healthcare processes, supported by relevant hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains: EMR, EHR, IVD, PAS, Territorial Solutions, or Telemedicine.
  • Prior experience in technical customer-facing roles within presales engineering and/or solution architect and/or solution delivery
​Technical Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7v2, FHIR, IHE and a solid grasp of medical code schemes such as ICD 9/10, LOINC and SNOMED-CT.
  • Good knowledge of communication protocols and architectural styles (HTTP SOAP, HTTP REST, TCP/IP).
  • Preferable certification in PMI, Prince2, ITIL, AgilePM, Cobit, TOGAF.
  • Basic knowledge of AGID, ACN and GDPR rules.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix systems and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Basic knowledge of medical device regulation (MDR) and related documentation.
  • Proven experience in cloud and on-premises infrastructure technologies and architectures
Soft skills:
  • Highly analytical mindset, characterized by attention to details while consistently maintaining an understanding of the bigger picture.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically when addressing business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills with a passion for documenting, in Italian and English.
  • Project management approach with exceptional stakeholders’ management and interpersonal skills to build and cultivate strong partnerships with clients, technical teams and business partners.
  • Team-oriented attitude and a keen eagerness to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills
