The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Coordinator of Business Operations.The Coordinator of Business Operations position provides administrative support for several of our sports programs and our business office in an effort to achieve operational excellence.Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Provide exemplary customer service to all sports and units that we serve.Support assigned sport programs by preparing travel reimbursements, reconciling credit card logs, building game contracts, providing general correspondence, and assisting teams with other essential tasks.Review expense reports for accuracy.Maintain financial records for department funds, following University and departmental policies and procedures, and maintain all documentation and records to meet audit requirements.Assist with department procurement process including creating purchase orders, negotiating, and executing vendor contracts, and maintaining an accurate contract database.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong problem-solving skills to address business challenges and propose effective solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at various levels.Understanding of business process, industry trends, and organizational goals to align analysis and recommendations with the overall business strategy.Capacity for critical thinking and the ability to challenge assumptions and think creatively.Anticipated Hiring Range: $40,000-$45,000, dependent upon qualifications. The selected candidate will pass a criminal background check. This is a full-time position with UVA .
