Job Description:OBJECTIVEThe Manager of IT Operations Technologies will lead their team to provide customer-focused IT services and systems within the Wheels organization. A strong project management focus is required in the role, while the primary responsibility is ensuring reliable and efficient environments are in place for specific platforms of iSeries, Backup & Recovery systems, WebSphere Application Server, and batch processing systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manages IT Operations technical teams in support of various technical arenas
  • Hiring, training, coaching, and all Human Resources activities for direct reports
  • Manages staff in daily work duties
  • Supervises team in delivering reliable and efficient systems that support the overall IT infrastructure.
  • Project management for projects as assigned
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Deliver any Service Levels as required to meet the needs of the Wheels business.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within IT Operations technologies.
  • Provides reporting of performance metrics to IT Operations leadership
  • Acts as escalation point for their area of responsibility.
  • Provides mentoring and knowledge sharing with the IT Operations Team
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.
OTHER DUTIES
  • Work closely with IT Service Delivery team to ensure successful delivery of IT Services
  • Demonstrates open, effective, consensus-building communication and teamwork
  • Customer focused approach leading a customer-driven team.

  • Manages a team of technical professionals providing specialized IT platforms.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities as appropriate
  • Demonstrates coaching skills and resolves conflicts
  • Leads the team within departmental principals, and organizational imperatives
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position may be performed remotely or within Wheels office locations.POSITION TYPE/STANDARD SCHEDULEThis is a Full-time position and some off hours responsibility is required.TRAVELMinimal travel –less than 10%MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors or Higher degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • ITIL Certifications
  • Three (5) or more years’ experience leading IT initiatives or teams
  • Competency in ITIL practices, certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Leader with proven track record initiating change in an IT organization
