We humbly acknowledge and thank the original caretakers of the lands on which we live, work, teach, acquire and share knowledge.The School of Occupational Therapy at Pacific University invites applications for an 11-month, extended-term track faculty position to serve as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AWFC) for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program. This ongoing position is available immediately. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.The OTD Program is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to transformational student-centered education and our School of Occupational Therapy mission to promote occupational well-being and justice. Pacific University is a comprehensive, independent university located 18 miles west of Portland, Oregon. The University is comprised of the Colleges of Health Professions, Optometry, Business, Education, and Arts and Sciences, serving approximately 2,000 graduate and 1,800 undergraduate students. The College of Health Professions consists of the Schools of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, Physician Assistant Studies, Dental Hygiene Studies, Healthcare Administration and Leadership, Graduate Psychology, Pharmacy, and Audiology.Responsibilities:
Manage coordination of Level I fieldwork and support Level II and capstone experiences
Manage coordination of International Level I fieldwork experiences
Supervision of level I experiences (including international) as needed by program
Track student requirements and certifications required for fieldwork experiences
Prepare and manage clinical education contracts
Teach classes to support clinical education
Participate in the growth and development of the clinical education program
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Occupational therapist with NBCOT certification.
Eligibility for licensure in Oregon.
Entry-level degree in occupational therapy.
Terminal degree (PP-OTD, OTD, PhD).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an occupational therapy practitioner.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Successful completion of federal background check upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience as an occupational therapy practitioner.
Experience in fieldwork supervision and/or healthcare administration.
Experience with database management.
Community practice experience
