The Elections Business Officer is responsible for providing fiscal and administrative management for the division. This position will handle contracts, payments, and travel modules. This position will be responsible for the budget process in the division. This position will serve as a lead to staff including assigning and monitoring work. This position requires effective and professional communication.Essential Duties
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated team of finance professionals within the Voter Registrations and Elections Division
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, initiative, and ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as a member of a team
- Reviewing work to ensure accuracy as well as providing any necessary feedback
- Processing and reviewing various financial transactions while ensuring they are in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Researching and maintaining various records, databases, reports, and logs
- Managing various audit functions such as: contracts renewals, updating and initiating contract routing, and completing recommendation letters
- Developing training documents, guides, and presentation materials
- Scanning, copying, and other various administrative tasks as assigned
- Presenting information and updates to staff as needed
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
The grade for this position is C411.Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Two years of professional level accounting experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- SAP experience
