Our expert recruiters support you at every step in the process and as a Best of Staffing company, Sterling provides exciting work with exceptional employers across the U.S.Hire Type: Direct HireJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician with expertise in Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems, along with proficiency in Electrical Control Systems, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of manufacturing equipment, with a focus on ensuring uptime and optimizing operational efficiency.Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair Pneumatic Systems, including High Pressure Compressed Air Distribution Systems, and Hydraulic Systems, encompassing cylinders and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Electrical Control Systems, with proficiency in Siemens Simatic, Allen Bradley Logic 5000, Allen Bradley Logic 500, Beckhoff controls, Proximity Switches, relay logic, Limit Switches, network communication systems, Profibus, and Profinet.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Inverters, VFDs, Servos, Encoders, and Motors.
  • Utilize Multimeters, Insulation Testers, Meggers, O scopes, Clamp on Amp Meters for basic troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to Safety protocols including OSHA requirements such as LOTO, Arc Flash, and PPE.
  • Perform maintenance on various mechanical systems using appropriate tools and PPE, such as packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gear boxes, drive shafts, pulley Systems, sprockets, rollers, solenoids, valves, splitter blades, bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, timing belts, and chains.
  • Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance mechanic roles within a manufacturing plant.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in repairing W&H Tuber and Bottomer machines preferred.
  • Electrician Certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read European Electrical Schematics and order components.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure to assess equipment failures and perform effective repairs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make critical decisions to minimize downtime and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Color vision for electrical work and willingness to learn new equipment.
  • Experience with Flexographic Printing Presses and High-Speed Packaging Lines is a plus.
