Take advantage of our tuition assistance and scholarship programs to grow both personally and professionally.Mobile Intergrated Health Nurse Practitioner Position SummaryThe primary function of the mobile integrated health Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Community Wellness division of Population Health is to support initiatives and interventions designed to reduce emergency department utilization and hospital readmissions by addressing social determinants of health. The NP will independently assess and manage patients in the community setting, identify patient needs, and refer to appropriate resources. The NP will develop a care plan for high risk patients that may involve multidisciplinary care coordination involving pharmacy, social work, registered nurse(s), community health worker(s), and partnering entities such as fire departments. The NP will further support population health/mobile integrated health initiatives including collaboration with local government officials and leading quality improvement activities.Mobile Integrated Health Nurse Practitioner Position Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing – Required
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice – Strongly Preferred Due to Role Autonomy and Required Quality Improvement Responsibilities
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner - Family License in Maryland – Required
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner - Adult Acute Care License in Maryland – Preferred
  • Maryland Controlled and Dangerous Substance License – Required
  • Federal Drug Enforcement Agency License – Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required
  • Community Paramedic Certification (CP-C) – Required Within 1 Year of Hire
  • Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Systems Services (MIEMSS) Community Paramedicine Training Program – Required Within 90 days of Hire
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) – Required Within 2 Years of Hire
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) – Required Within 1 Year of Hire
  • Minimum of Five (5) Years of Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Hospital Medicine Experience
  • Minimum of Two (2) Years of Primary Care or Internal Medicine Experience
  • Recommended – One (1) Year of Professional Nursing or NP Experience in an Emergency Medical Services Program
Mobile Integrated Health Nurse Practitioner Schedule
  • Rotating Day and Night Shifts 7 Days/Week
  • Expected to respond in the event of a disaster
  • Expected to work past shift end on occasion.
