Howmet Acuña Maintenance Manager

• Manage an effective team, includes planning, motivates, coaches, and trains to acquire maximum quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation, approving time and attendance, prioritizing and making work assignments.

• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.

• Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of electric power, chill water system, and compressed air system for required operations.

• Reviews maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

• Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operation, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

• Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with management.

• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations

• Reviews work procedures for safety regulations and concerns

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution

• 3+ years of experience in management of Maintenance area

• Bilingual English /Spanish

• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• Professional Mechanical Engineer, ISO/AS9100, and NADCAP certifications.

• PC skills, including a high proficiency in Microsoft Office package

• Written & verbal communications skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Positive attitude and initiative to develop the position's activities

• Self-starter.
