gpac is partnering with a successful Transportation Company to find a Rock Star Freight Broker to join their team!Job Overview: As an Experienced Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, negotiating rates, and coordinating international freight shipments and intermodal transport solutions. You will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in the industry while playing a key role in driving business growth and maximizing profits.This position offers competitive compensation with high earning potential through commission-based structure and excellent growth opportunities within the company. We are looking for someone to be with us long term, to grow and succeed with us!This is a 1099 role to start with ample opportunities to grow into a salary plus bonus management position!Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full freight brokerage process for international shipments and intermodal transport.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, carriers, and vendors.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with customers and carriers to ensure competitive pricing and profitable margins.
  • Coordinate all aspects of shipments, including tracking, scheduling, and compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to identify new opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during the shipment process.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in freight brokerage, with a focus on international freight shipping and intermodal transport.
  • Proven success in managing a portfolio of clients and driving business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and intermodal transportation processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote working environment and manage tasks independently.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
