Position Overview:As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall efficiency of our finance department. You will assist in various bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and basic financial analysis.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain financial records in our accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transaction records.
  • Support payroll processing activities, including verifying timesheets and assisting with payroll inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or issues in financial records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant accounting principles and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
  • Previous 1+ year of experience in a similar role or internship is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is desirable.
