And you can too, so bring your energy to ours.As Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician II/ III, you’ll work with a team of safety-focused technicians to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Mentoring team mates, troubleshooting and solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and attention to detail are keys to success in this role!Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities/Expectations:Performs complex maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment and systemsMinimizes unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safetyFixes and maintains process control systemsPartners with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projectsOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:I&E Operations Technician II:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of six (6) months’ experience in the natural gas or related industry
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree
I&E Operations Technician III:Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician or similar role, including one (1) year experience as an I&E TechnicianPreferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas IndustryPhysical and Environment Work Requirements:The ability to:Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spacesCarry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as neededStand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of timeWork at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Use hand toolsShift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as the need arisesMay be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight staysOther Requirements:Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving recordDemonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityNeeds basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skillsPrevious experience working in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression and/or liquid or gas gathering processesPrevious experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industryAdditional Requirements:
  • Required: Must display solid understanding of voltages at a minimum of 480
  • Required: Knowledge of current electrical codes
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Rosemount Transmitters by Emerson, especially in the domains of pressure, temperature, and flow metrics
  • Preferred: Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Preferred: Practical experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Preferred: Fundamental knowledge of CAT engines and Ariel compressors and their maintenance
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
