- Assist in installing and commissioning small system upgrade and improvement projects.
- Improve equipment performance through programming and control enhancements.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, PLC hardware, IO cards, and wiring diagrams.
- Provide training on Electrical Controls to technicians as required.
- Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) on control components and electrical enclosures.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to maintain detailed documentation on control systems.
- Aid in standardizing control components across equipment.
- Keep the Maintenance Manager informed of changes and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on Electrical and Controls maintenance and improvement projects.
- Uphold company policies related to people and food safety.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical documents.
- Problem-solving skills in non-standardized environments.
- Organizational skills to meet critical deadlines with accuracy.
- Associate's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering required.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; database management skills are advantageous.
- Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLCs, Panelview HMI Terminals, and Powerflex variable speed drives.
- Familiarity with Ethernet communication networks.
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training and knowledge of Electrical Standards (e.g., NEC, UL 508a).
- Expertise in motion controls.
