The student and academic support administrator demonstrates the ability to produce exceptional outcomes through modeling and supporting others and the effectiveness of campus personnel through professional learning, providing information on student and academic program progress, and retention of teachers. This position will strategically plan and manage campus systems and operations while conducting themselves in a professional manner.
  • Support and implement a shared vision of success, and campus wide goals.
  • Manage academic support programs to include Language Proficiency Assessment Committee and Special Education Admission, Review and Dismissal.
  • Provide access to and knowledge regarding campus and district data points for planning and goal setting purposes, to include data for PLCs, campus meetings and administrative leadership team review.
  • Manage the campus student body to improve campus culture and social/emotional learning supports through discipline management, resource allocation, and sourcing of resources.
  • Manage the HB4545 tutoring program to ensure students eligibility, documentation and providing campus administrative team and teachers with progress monitoring updates.
  • Support campus staff with information regarding academic support and information regarding assessments and data, program information and updates, and professional learning in areas of responsibility.
  • Identify campus mentor teachers and manage the peer-to-peer on campus teacher mentoring program for teacher and staff retention.
  • Manages student discipline effectively to support the campus and organizational goals to include follow up, resources, and coaching.
  • Facilitates the facility safety and security compliance monitoring and log maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with and support and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders (students, teachers, staff, parents, community, and District).
  • Evaluate support personnel.
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • Preferred Master’s Degree in educational administration or a directly related field from an accredited university or be currently enrolled in a program leading to a master’s degree in educational administration or a directly related field.
  • Required Texas standard Principal certificate, Texas mid-management certificate or have passed the Texas Principal Exam and be eligible for certification.
  • Required one-year Texas Probationary Principal Certification.
  • Required 2+ years of experience, Teaching, Counseling, Assistant Principal preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, strategies, goals, and objectives of public education.
  • Knowledge of procedures, techniques, and strategies pertaining to the administration of school level operation.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and coordinate the management functions and activities of school operation.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to promote a positive, caring climate for learning.
  • Ability to effectively analyze problems, issues, and concerns and formulate appropriate alternative solutions.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and fairly with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to interact effectively with student, staff, parents, and community members.
  • Organizational, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
