The Undergraduate Academic Advisor in Math & Stat is the primary point of contact for all Math & Stat majors and minors, as well as students in other disciplines who seek advice about MA courses and programs. The advisor serves as an academic advisor for Math & Stat majors with assistance from faculty advisors. In cooperation with the CAS Academic Advising Center, the MA Advisor will help students navigate the University's General Education program (BU Hub) while working with them to develop a plan to realize their academic, career, and life goals. The MA Advisor will also participate in first-year experience programming including teaching first-year seminars as well as planning and executing general MA departmental functions in coordination with the undergraduate program admin. They will also plan and lead programs in collaboration with the CAS Office of Student Programs & Leadership.Job Functions
