We are currently seeking a Fire & Emergency Response technician to support a critical pillar in our Global EHS Center of Excellence (COE) based in Arizona, USA at Lucid Motors AMP-01 factory.You Will:
  • Support the Arizona point-of-contact for routine inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire protection and life safety systems in compliance with NFPA 10, 25, and 72.
  • Maintain facility shop drawings for fire alarm and fire sprinkler.
  • Conduct visual inspections during routine walks for sprinklers, fire alarms, fire hoses, fire risers, fire pumps, water tanks, and fire extinguishers.
  • Work alongside third-party contractor to coordinate required functional testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop and drill emergency response plans.
  • Communicate with local AHJ for ongoing projects and inspections required for permitting (i.e., temporary certificate of occupancy, certificate of occupancy).
  • Support the development of new technologies for battery thermal response.
  • Partner with SME's within EHS to gain support and alignment across varying projects, issues, and daily operating needs.
  • Participate in shift briefings, team objectives, best practices, and priority changes.
  • Monitor and respond to fire and life safety alarms and dispatch appropriate resources.
  • Maintain coherence within EHS systems in Excel, Smartsheet, Jira Ticketing System, and 3rd-party software's.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, if needed.
You Bring:
  • 2+ years' experience in fire sprinkler/fire alarm installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance.
  • 2+ years' experience in firefighting and emergency response.
  • First aid and CPR certified.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across various levels of the organization.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and database management systems; with ability to chart data and present performance status to business.
Advantageous:
  • Bachelor's degree in fire science, engineering, or related EHS field.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • AHJ experience.
  • EV or Li-ion battery experience.
