We’re seeking a talented and dynamic individuals who are passionate about structural engineering and eager to contribute to the design and analysis of critical structures within the nuclear industry.As a Structural Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety, integrity, and resilience of nuclear facilities. You’ll work on a challenging project that demand your expertise in designing, evaluating, and optimizing structures that can withstand extreme conditions, and rigorous safety standards.All work for this position will be performed on-site in Greenville, SC or Houston, TX. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate.Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects
  • Prepare and review of calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design
  • Conduct construction document reviews as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects
  • Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities
  • Familiarity with CAD applications
  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design
  • Nuclear experience is highly desired
  • Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
  • Department of Energy requires all people working on the project to be a US Citizen
This position pays $65 - $85/hr. As required by applicable pay transparency laws, iParametrics provides a range of compensation for these roles.
