- Support efforts to remediate applications, ensuring they source master and reference data from authorised sources (Systems of Record/Authorised Redistributors), including but not limited to pricing data, securities data, and corporate actions events data.
- Collaborate across Product, Operations and Technology to implement best practices for data sourcing and integration.
- Develop and implement a robust governance framework for the master and reference data sourcing oversight.
- Run the Data Right-Sourcing Design Authority where application data architectures are reviewed and baselined; and where authorised data source designations are reviewed and formalised.
- Optimize sourcing-related license costs by evaluating usage and negotiating agreements where necessary.
- Identify and report instances of data sourcing debt, working closely with remediation owners from technology and central data teams to address and remediate issues promptly.
- Establish and manage procedures for identifying, capturing, monitoring, and resolving data sourcing debt.
- Generate and communicate Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to data sourcing activities.
- Monitor and report on the performance of data sourcing processes, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Support and drive transformation initiatives related to data sourcing, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of processes.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance data sourcing capabilities, with a focus on automation and efficiency and integration to the wider DDI event-driven architecture strategy.
- Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data accuracy.
- Build strong partnerships with technology teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders in each business line.
- Collaborate with the broader Data Services organization to ensure consistent adherence to data quality standards across the product suite.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data sourcing, with a focus on master and reference data, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of master and reference data concepts, data governance, and data integration technologies.
- Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Information Technology, Finance). Not essential
