Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and directing the activities of the maintenance department, including facilities, controls, maintenance specialist, projects, MRO purchasing, maintenance planning, capital and expense projects, process improvements as well as asset/equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for cost control and department budgets, as well as capital project development and implementation.This position reports toEngineeing ManagerYour responsibilities
  • Assure maximum uptime for all facility equipment.
  • Play a direct role in the selection of new processes and equipment and repair and maintenance of existing equipment.
  • Perform oversight on any number of capital projects each year as well as planning capital requirements for up to 10 future years.
  • Assure that adequately trained and high performing staff is on hand to address the maintenance needs of the facility.
  • Facilitate communication with employees to gain ideas and resolve problems to improve safety, quality, and processes.
  • Effectively manage the implementation of the Power Maintenance initiative into the culture and every day operating practices of the facility.
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, maintain project timelines, report issues and status to the plant manager on a regular basis. Assure management is appropriately informed to make effective decisions.
  • Manage Repair and Maintenance costs, maintenance indirect labor and direct reporting salaried exempt labor to meet budget and cost control goals.
  • Assure maintenance activities are integrated and supporting of all plant goals
Your background
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 10 years experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 12 years experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance in a leadership role - Preferred.
  • Must have a proven track record and experience with Lean Manufacturing and analytical problem-solving tools including “Six-Sigma”, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and statistical analysis methods. Experience with budget management and cost control methods.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, PLC Control Software, and Baldor B.U.S. systems for maintenance and material planning - Preferred.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and implement innovative improvements in automated production equipment in a cross-functional group setting.
  • Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) skills.
  • Driven organizational manager capable of achieving results through the application of lean manufacturing and systemic organizational improvements.
