- This job is remote- anywhere in the United States.
- 50 - 70%, depending on location and customer requirements.
- Identify and establish new potential customers, building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Act as a point of contact between customers and sales representatives, creating key client relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
- Identify and cold call potential customers.
- Provide and manage sales reports on potential and existing customers and territory activities.
- Create persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business. Demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to enable account penetration and development. Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
- Providing regional SWOT analysis by territory, become an expert in your market area.
- Collaborate with others such as Engineering and Marketing to expand brand presence through product development and marketing materials.
- Maintain current knowledge of competitions products and pricing and market conditions and industry trends.
- Present product specification/qualification into new and existing accounts.
- Research competing products, identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Answer customer questions regarding product pricing, availability, features, and benefits. Gather knowledge of MSO, Telco, Utility and Co-op Service Provider Accounts based in the assigned territory.
- Interface with industry organizations and groups to support programs and events, solicit service provider contractors, perform demonstrations, and provide direct sales support, provide product training, and address customer-related inquiries in the defined territory.
- This position will also support territory sales representatives as well as Axiom Connectivity distribution sales associates in the execution of sales and marketing strategy.
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications desired
- A bachelor’s degree or High School Equivalency with a proven and available track record in the same or similar position
- Knowledge of ISPs, MSOs, Telcos, and service provider a plus
- Experience with optical transceiver and passive networking products a plus.
- Must be organized with excellent follow-up skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and able to work with all standard software applications.
- Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, able to participate in territory planning and goal setting based on market factors, and able to fully utilize all available resources and work well within a team environment.
- Must also be able to establish and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, and grasp and communicate basic product information and technology and be confident when performing product demonstrations.
