As the Human Resources Generalist, you will administer the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR Department in the areas of recruiting, performance management, benefits, and employee training. You will be a vital part of the HR team, providing strategic, tactical, and analytical support, as well as review payroll for all employees.Responsibilities:
  • Own the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment offers.
  • Administer benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, workers' compensation, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and weekly updates to employee files, tracking vacation/sick pay, spread of hours, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory and organization chart and contribute to the development of policies.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters, including complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements and suggest improvement.
  • Recommend strategies to motivate and engage employees.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Other related duties.

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable HR Generalist experience
  • Food and Beverage and / or restaurant industry background preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR information systems (ADP Workforce is preferred)
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Skilled with Microsoft Suite programs
  • Critical thinking and proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Ability to lift 15lbs, as well as sit fit for extended periods of time
