  • Drive Reliability Based Maintenance effort that is implemented plant wide, and then develop a process to maintain and systematically review this program.
  • Develop and drive the Mechanical Integrity program for Mapleton using best practices from other sites.
  • Continually work with maintenance team by integrating precision maintenance techniques such as precision alignment into daily work. Also continue to look for new precision maintenance techniques that will improve equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Lead predictive maintenance efforts including vibration analysis, oil analysis, vessel thickness, code inspections, pressure relief device inspections, back-flow prevention inspections, ultrasonic leak detection, and infrared analysis.
  • Maintain a list of top 10 maintenance "bad actors" monthly and discuss potential fixes. Lead site Root Cause Analysis/Failure Mode & Effects Analysis studies on significant maintenance issues and drive to solutions.
  • Continually review maintenance preventative work orders with team for content and frequency making changes where necessary. Investigate equipment and see if changes in existing equipment can be made to improve performance or seek alternatives that will improve performance.
  • Originate and develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
  • Develop equipment reliability activities for Care Solutions at the Mapleton, IL site.
  • Develop and maintain a close relationship to the applicable technical service decision-makers in all departments via regular visits to implement technologies and services to support Care Solutions site equipment availability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor important reliability trends and technical developments for development of new applications.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in reliability. Drive the adoption of established maintenance & reliability best practices.
  • Support Implementation of site Mechanical Integrity Program and Reliability Program
  • Drive Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Optimization for the Site
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis
  • Design or modify asset care strategies and procedures using Risk-based and other (RCM, FMEA) methods.
  • Collaborate with technical resources to solve chronic equipment problems.
  • Provide technical guidance to production, technical, engineering, etc., in support of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Analyze the costs & benefits of equipment options to meet customer reliability objectives.
  • Create or modify site procedures to stay current with industry best practices.
  • Other activities as assigned by the manager.
REQUIREMENTS
  • This is a self-motivated position that requires strong customer collaboration, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline with strong maintenance reliability experience required.
  • General plant experience with a minimum of 5 years in plant production position. Strong background and broad-based experience in the complex field of maintenance or reliability engineering. A thorough knowledge of technical codes, standards and regulations is required.
  • A practical knowledge of current maintenance & reliability best practices and condition monitoring technologies is required.
  • Responsiveness and professionalism are critical and must have the ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, plant production, maintenance management, and shopfloor, both locally and globally, and positively add value to short term and long-term strategic planning.
  • Must be analytical and able to solve problems concisely and logically.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and manage expectations to create trust and credibility across a broad spectrum of the company.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
  • Process Safety Management experience, and certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.
