- Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for Injection Molding and Assembly
- Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries through the use of, but not limited to, 6S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices
- Develop methods for separating components
- Design and planning of equipment layout
- Conducting tests and monitor process performance throughout the production
- Follow all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
- Daily mold changes and start-ups
- Adhere to company policies and regulations
- Conduct process documentation of molds in the early stages
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve all areas.
- Responsible to process all non-conforming parts and products to ensure accurate inventory accounts within department
- Interface with Quality Department on Corrective and Preventive actions for customer complaints and internal quality issues
- Understand and positively impact Key Performance Indicators balancing safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, scrap, labor and morale to achieve superior results in all areas
- Continuously analyze the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production, communication, reporting, cost controls, and make recommendations to the appropriate departments to maximize efficiency
- Conduct daily production meetings
- Ensure that first shot approval is obtained from Quality Inspectors
- Document all problems and process changes and provide action plans with supervisor
- Daily communication with various departments and all levels of management through email, telephone, face-to-face is necessary in order to optimize the efficiency of the operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, mechanical or related
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of product manufacturing process
- Strong computer skills with MS Office knowledge
- Experience using SAP and MES software
- Basic understanding of OSHA standards
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting
- Flexible to adapt to changes in scheduling, able to handle high-stress decision making scenarios.
