- Lead communication and process and technology transfer between EDY departments as well as external Wacker NCA partners.
- Develop growth and developmental opportunities for Engineering and Maintenance team members.
- Represent EDY's interests toward authorities, suppliers, and contractors.
- Manage third party service providers working, as needed, with Corporate Procurement.
- Lead and execute capital projects (CAPEX), as needed by the EDY Plant.
- Support and act as Site PME on CAPEX lead by WCC Engineering team.
- Manage CAPEX, technical expense (TA) and repair and maintenance budgets.
- Compile and present reports on EDY project updates and standing.
- Manage third party contractors necessary to execute CAPEX and TA projects in EDY
- Maximize the availability and efficiency of production units at required capacity and quality necessary.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance program to ensure the ongoing operation of all key equipment.
- Remain continuously engaged with EDY operations and operational performance/struggles with active involvement in meetings and data analysis.
- Lead troubleshooting activities and support debottlenecking activities to enhance processes ensuring production hits targeted output.
- Drive and support the development of specifications, standards, and codes.
- Oversee the management of EDY nested contractors.
- Provide support and help facilitate process hazard analysis activities.
- Ensure safe operating conditions of the technical plant and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes.
- Ensure production compliance under OSHA PSM with special regard to mechanical integrity and MOC, where applicable.
- Support EHS Site Lead and operations team members to follow and maintain safety operational requirements specifically focusing on PSM elements, including mechanical integrity, explosion protection, dust hazard analysis, high pressure equipment and electrical safety.
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- 8+ years in engineering field and 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Up to 10% travel
- Extensive knowledge in the field of process and facilities engineering including relevant regulations, standards, and codes. Objective judgement and fact-based decision-making approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure. Team player attitude. Capability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements.
- Preferred knowledge of the following: AC800F logic based controlling system, SAP, process safety management, Class II, Div 2 environments and functional safety.
- Must be physically fit to wear an air respirator if necessary.
- Due to schedule and milestone requirements, nonstandard work schedule such as nights, holidays, and/or weekends may occasionally be required.
