- Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of warm air furnaces, air conditioners, duct distribution systems, boilers, heat pumps, geo thermal systems, and packaged units including related venting, piping and electrical. Be able to service and startup equipment, and adjust to the manufacturers and job specification.
- Be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise that would keep the equipment from functioning properly. Evaluate system performance and propose solutions to increase comfort and/or maximize equipment life and efficiency at every call.
- Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and owner’s maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner.
- Complete required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, equipment information including pictures and observations. Obtain customer signatures on all necessary paper work and collect payments.
- Customer service focus.
- Attention to detail -Minimal recalls and customer complaints.
- Successfully resolve conflict and deal with difficult customers both in person and on the phone.
- Must have a good working knowledge of our products and services being offered. This may require additional study and training both at work and at home.
- Establish goals and objectives as they relate to the position, along with a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals.
- Regularly review and monitor progress against goals, and seek assistance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors, and customers.
- Ask for and obtain favorable customer referrals and web recommendations
- Possess superior interpersonal skills.
- Perform emergency, on call service to customers
- Should be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications.
- Must be able to accurately list/order materials and supplies and complete necessary warranty paperwork if necessary.
- Must be able to work under time constraints, budgetary limits, and pressures.
- Efficiently manage his/her time and schedules.
- Must be capable of understanding client needs, and favorably influence their decision.
- Constantly increase personal knowledge base through training from suppliers, in house training, seminars, independent study, and other employees.
- Maintain clean, neat, and professional appearance.
- Maintain proper inventory stock and neat, clean professional appearance of company van.
- Work and drive safely. Be able to recognize and avoid dangerous situations and make recommendations to management for safe working conditions.
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces and basements.
- Safely lift 75 lbs independently from the ground up.
- Stand or work in a kneeling position for extended periods.
- Work as a team and assist other technicians when necessary
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
