Head of Pre-Preparatory SchoolUplands is an Anglican, innovative, co-educational, independent school located on an extensive estate in White River, close to the Kruger National Park. We are committed to providing quality education to day- (Grade 0000 - Grade 12) and boarding pupils (Grade 4 - Grade 12).Uplands is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).Uplands seeks to appoint an experienced and dedicated Head of Pre-Preparatory who is passionate about shaping the minds of the future generation. The Head provides strategic leadership, oversees the day-to-day operations, and needs to foster a positive learning environment. This position serves on the Executive Committee and works closely with the Uplands Board of Directors.The successful applicant will:

Possess suitable professional qualification in Education and/or Early Childhood Development (post-graduate qualification will be advantageous)
Be SACE registered
Have proven experience in Educational Leadership
Be familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching
Experience in an IEB environment
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in curriculum development, instructional methods, and assessment practices
Have sound knowledge of educational policies, standards, and best practice, with a focus on safeguarding
Oversee admissions and enrolment management
Possess excellent communication skills (staff, pupils and parents) and the ability to building positive relationships with stakeholders of the School
Possess exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills
Cultivate a caring, nurturing, and inclusive environment within the Pre-Preparatory School
Provide regular reports to the Board on school operations, academic performance, and other relevant matters
Manage the budget of the School and ensure that the relevant learning and teaching resources support the educational outcomes, while maintaining financial responsibility
Be self-motivated as well as being able to work under pressure and maintaining standards of excellence
Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in Education
Show commitment and uphold the values of Uplands
