Job Summary: Provide administrative assistant support, as the Principal’s liaison, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the entire school in delivering instructional and recreational services to the student body.Qualifications: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. * High school diploma with demonstrated administrative assistant experience in word processing, bookkeeping, and record keeping systems required. Completion of course work in accounting preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to diplomatically interface with students, parents, coaches, officials, teachers, administrative staff, and external contacts required.
  • Proficiency in the use of the personal computer, calculator, and other office equipment, plus organizational and communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements
  • Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment
Duties & Responsibilities:(Abbreviated - Please review the attached Job Description for more details on this specific opportunity) * Processes and distributes all mail; answers telephone, greets and assists visitors; and maintains daily calendar for principal
  • Distributes annual budget information to teachers. Enters orders online in current software system for all staff
  • Types and distributes teacher evaluations annually. Maintains staff files
  • Distributes and maintains records of student grades, including honor roll list; processes schedule changes
  • Maintains student activities, faculty, and petty cash accounts
  • Prepares back to school night packets for parents; assists with preparation for parent conferences; attends back to school and conference nights to provide office assistance as needed
  • Collects money due, materials, and books; directs funds to appropriate department
  • Administers and grades end of year final make-up exams and enters grades in student transcript
  • Processes timecards and hours for activity/intramural clubs and homebound instruction
  • Enters facility usage requests and maintains building usage schedule in current software; maintains building activity schedule book to coordinate room usage during school day
  • Processes conference/workshop requests
  • Orders supplies, adds money to postage meter, and trouble-shoots problems regarding copiers, fax machines, printer, and postage meter
  • Types and publishes daily bulletin to school website; distributes on docu-share to staff and TV studio
  • Maintains current faculty and student handbooks and distribute
  • Orders buses or coach charters for field trips; processes trip requests.
  • Orders general supplies, academic awards; conducts periodic inventory and reorder supplies as needed. Updates list and prices of textbooks and core supplement books
  • Types flyers, district memos, building information, student awards, etc.; distributes to staff mailboxes as needed. Provides materials to homeroom teachers for distribution to students
  • Maintains building keypad access numbers and requests addition or deletion of staff as needed
  • Maintains current list of students living within the Limerick boundaries including forms
  • Processes list to Human Resources of non-athletic supplementals, distributes contracts to staff for signatures, maintains copy in staff files
  • Edits parent portal access on current software. Activates an ESchool account for parents of newly enrolled students to view their child’s grades. Sends letter to parents with log-on information
  • Organizes and orders annual printing items from print shop
  • Provides quarterly lists of mailing labels, student teams, etc., as requested by teachers for mailings throughout the year
  • Organizes information to be displayed on outside sign
  • Schedules classroom observations, field experiences, student teacher placements, and clearance documents
  • Assists in monthly fire drill evacuation by aiding/diverting students to another exit from a specified targeted area that is being blocked off
  • Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe day to day duties of the position/department as needed
