Business DivisionsGroup FunctionsYour roleUBS is seeking an experienced Data Center Governance and Engineering Specialist with a robust background in data center management and engineering. The successful candidate will oversee governance across the entire lifecycle of data center operations, coordinate insurance surveys, manage audits, and shape the design strategy. This specialist role demands a candidate with a strong understanding of MEPF systems, data center buildouts, and maintenance & operations (M&O), complemented by a robust capability in risk management.Key Responsibilities:The candidate must:
implement and monitor data center governance throughout the entire lifecycle of infrastructure components, ensuring compliance and operational excellence
coordinate insurance surveys, working closely with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure all data center risks are assessed and mitigated
manage Data Center Audits conducted by third parties, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to UBS standards
perform Data Center Audits internally, establishing a rigorous self-audit framework to maintain continual compliance and performance
develop design strategies and guidelines for MEPF systems, data center buildouts, and M&O practices in line with UBS's strategic objectives
serve as the Engineering Services Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing high-level technical guidance and support
act as a coordinator for third-party engineering support, ensuring that all engineering services are integrated and aligned with operational needs
identify and manage risk associated with data center operations, collaborating with relevant teams to develop and coordinate risk management strategies

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with a preference for advanced qualifications
minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data center governance and engineering with a large-scale, global organization
expert-level understanding of MEPF systems, data center design, and operational management
proven track record in risk identification, analysis, and management
experience in coordinating and managing third-party service providers and support teams
relevant certifications in data center management, governance, or risk (e.g., CFCP, CDCS, CRISC) are advantageous
