Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks.Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:Responsible for assigned equipment to meet/exceed operating standards in areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity as well as minimizing downtimeSupport Production and operators to ensure equipment runs as scheduledPerform PM’s on assigned machines to ensure that they run at their maximum capacity through cleaning, lubricating, belt replacement, changing filters, bearings, etcMake routine repairs to electrical, pneumatic, and servo driven equipmentParticipate on special projects as requiredComplete all paperwork neatly, correctly, on time and in accordance with Company guidelinesCommunicates with employees, including the proper and safe utilization of equipmentAble to work alone or as a team memberFollows all GMP and safety rules and proceduresSkills and Experience:5-10 years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturingAbility to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical breakdowns in industrial machinery3-phase electrical experienceExperience with VFD, PLC, and servo motorsFacility maintenance, including plumbing and electrical workExperience with conveyor systems, scales, and packaging equipmentWorking with common hand and power toolsWorking with precision measuring instruments, electrical testing devicesTime managementMicrosoft Office and OutlookLogging work electronically in CMMS systemDesirable Criteria:Have personal tools for work including rolling toolbox/cart. Some special tools will be furnished.Understanding of Lock Out Tag Out proceduresExperience in rebuilding centrifugal and positive displacement pumpsAble to read electrical schematics and blueprintsTIG WeldingMachining – mill/latheEducation:High School diploma or equivalentHACCP (Food Safety) and Food Quality (desirable but not required)Personal Attributes:Strong communicatorAble to build interpersonal relationships with production machine operators and staffpladis is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to hiring a diverse workforce.
