Position Summary: Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Hospital. Operates equipment to deliver ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating neoplastic diseases or for other therapeutic purposes.Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:1. Supports the mission and vision of McLaren Port Huron through behaviors that reflect and integrate our values, as evidenced by observation, peer and customer feedback.2. Applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of Radiation Oncologist.3. Carries out pretreatment preparations including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.4. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence.5. Participates in a minimum of 50% of department meetings; reads and initials minutes from meetings not attended, as evidenced by attendance log.Qualifications:Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and a graduate of accredited school of Radiation Therapy.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
Preferred:
  • Radiation Therapy clinical experience, preferred. One (1) year of prior work experience with simulation experience in Radiation Oncology, preferred.
