Job Description:The hospital EMR Coach under direct supervision from the Market Clinical Informatics Director and according to established policies and procedures functions as an electronic medical record (EMR) system expert and is primarily responsible for training clinicians to efficiently use the Cerner EMR and to proactively provide at the elbow support to clinicians throughout the hospital. The EMR Coach will at times assist in the implementation, support, and optimization of the EMR and other clinical systems.The EMR Coach is responsible for purposeful hospital rounding; providing direct support to providers and nurses to ensure end users successfully integrate the EMR into clinical workflow. The EMR Coach ensures consistent and effective use of the EMR that aligns with policy, procedure, and standards. The EMR Coach may at times create education content to communicate and educate providers and clinicians in EMR changes, initiatives, and projects.The EMR Coach regularly provides suggestions and seeks feedback from physicians and clinicians regarding the EMR communicating such information to the Market Clinical Informatics Director.The EMR Coach collaborates with the Market Clinical Informatics Director to improve physician and clinicians' satisfaction with the EMR, promote “voice of the customer” and improve IS service and support.Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in clinical hospital setting
  • Ability to develop, maintain and collaborate with clinicians
  • Ability to problem-solving and resolve conflict
  • Understands clinical workflow and has the skill set to integrate technology into clinical practice
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills required
  • Must serve as a model of credibility, professionalism, and customer service
Compensation
  • Pay: $47,424 - $75,712 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Staff level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.

Assists in Go Live support, daily troubleshooting and issue resolution, the creation of training materials, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Required:
  • Minimum one year experience in ambulatory clinical settings such as physician clinics or other OP settings is required.
  • Must be assertive, knowledgeable, and able to interact with clinicians as a teacher and a peer.
  • Working knowledge of both front and back-office clinic workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Use a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a clinical staff role and/or managerial or supervisory role within an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
  • Clinical background (RN, LPN, MA, Lab Assistant, etc).
  • Use and experience with clinical information systems in a health care delivery setting
Preferred:
  • Hands-on experience using Athena
  • Clinical background (RN, LPN, MA, Lab Assistant, etc).
  • Experience as a super-user, trainer, or “elbow” support to end-users
  • Associates Degree in Healthcare Related Field
