BASIC FUNCTION: The Registered Nurse works in at our main hospital campus, directly reporting to the Emergency Department Director. They will provide professional and compassionate nursing care to assigned patients in the emergency room.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
  • Assists physicians during examinations and emergency procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary.
  • Observes patients’ progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary.
  • The RN assists in the maintenance of health and the prevention or management of illness, injury and disability.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Active license in the State of Colorado as an RN. A temporary permit issued by the Board of Nursing will be accepted until a permanent license is received if awaiting reciprocity.
  • Must have current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • ACLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months of initial employment and must maintin current certification status throughout GRHD employement.
  • Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a clinic type setting.
SALARY INFORMATION :$30.50 - $44.91 Dependent on ExperienceShift differentials may apply for eligible positions.BENEFITS:Compensation also includes a 10% PRN differential and may include shift differentials.
