About the Position
  • Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary:
The Clinical Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting laboratory staff in routine moderate complexity testing used to diagnose and treat disease.Here's what you'll do when you join us:
  • Obtain lab specimens and place lab orders.
  • Process all specimen types to prepare for testing.
  • Ensure that testing results are correctly reported.
  • Provide phlebotomy training.
  • Complete annual competency.
  • Enter orders and collection information into LIS system and subsystems. Provide results over the phone as necessary.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat: * Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training course or phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory setting is desired.
  • Experience in a healthcare related field preferred.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itaca's policies, visit, mission and values.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
