- Directing the activities of up to 15 NDT Engineers
- Management of NDT Engineering, personnel including talent acquisition, performance evaluation, labor approval, recognition/disciplinary action and other associated personnel actions
- Budget Management for Indirect, direct discrete, & Contract accounts
- Direct interface with Structures, DADT, M&P Engineering management
- Coordination with factory inspection Management
- Developing factory equipment forecasts
- Guiding Capital acquisition for current & future NDT equipment
- Oversight of procedure development & personnel training
- Representing LM Aero & coordination with Program NDT Advisory Boards (NDIRRB, Government NDT personnel, Industry Associations, etc..)
- Ensuring Fielded LM Aero platforms continuing NDT needs are met
- Guiding or directing the development of New NDT methods or research
- Acquiring, bidding proposal development for new & existing contracts
- Performing Cost Account Management for the NDT Engineering organization
- Interfacing with Production, Engineering & Quality Sr Management on NDI issues

- BS degree in Engineering, Math, or Science.
- ASNT Level III certification or equivalent in at least three disciplines.
- Aerospace NDT experience
- Prior supervisory or project lead experience in a salaried environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with government customers
- Prior experience developing training & certification programs.
- Experience developing techniques for bonded assemblies & composite structures.
- Prior experience managing the acquisition of Large Capital NDT equipment
- Experience managing records retention / archival processes
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally to conduct NDI business
- Demonstrated program NDI lead.
- Ability to interact with both contractor and customer representatives to develop a non-destructive inspection plan, schedules and cost estimates.
- Experience with Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) requirements and collaboration with ASIP engineering specialists.
- Experience with Electronic engineering drawing, data packages, and manufacturing work instructions
- Experience with NDI sustainment activities in the field
- Automated dimensional measurement techniques
- Prior automated inspection experience
- Experience with digital thread systems
- Good customer relationship management skills.
- Industrial Radiographer license or trainer card from the Texas Department of Health.
- Prior experience managing a radiation safety program
- AWS-CWI certification is a plus.
