Metal Fabrication Machine Operator - 1st and 2nd Shift

• Prepare workstation for operation by cleaning work area, organizing tools, and reviewing documentation.
• Operate machine, monitors quality to insure that product produced meets NeedleTech quality system standards.
• Measure parts at beginning, middle and end of run (or as necessary) and records data on router.
• Follow all product handling procedures; handles product with care.
• Monitor output during shift to insure that standard run rates are achieved.
• Notify group leader or supervisor of any problems with machine and/or quality of product produced.
• Use inspection microscope and toolmakers microscope to verify workmanship of product.
• Complete all associated documentation required (work travelers, output logs, etc.) per NeedleTech SOP.
• Communicate pass down information if pertinent to job assignment.
• Clean and organizes work area upon completion of shift
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent (required).

• 6 to 12 months’ previous experience working in a metal fabrication department working various fabrication, crimping, bending, and welding machines, or equivalent machines (required).
• Must be able to use various measuring devices to ensure proper tolerances on finished product

• Able to comprehend drawings and use measuring equipment as needed.
• Able to perform related tasks as needed by following verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand product labels, policies, diagrams, safety instructions.
• Ability to convey detailed messages department to supervisor and other employees.
