- Performs analysis on product which has failed production testing or is returned by the customer.
- Identifies and documents cause of failures through technical analysis
- Investigate production quality problems and their cause.
- Provide technical assistance to QC Inspectors.
- Analyze and determine the cause of outgoing Q.C. defects.
- Perform special product failure investigation (customer returns, etc.)
- Assist Q.C. Engineering in trouble-shooting design and process related problems.
- Assist in the analysis of product validation (PV) and pilot production run failures.
- Work with Quality Assurance to resolve supplier test correlation issues.
- Maintain and issue work instructions, PCA's and quality alerts.
- Perform/report on the results of production process audits.
- Interface with customer representatives.
- Specify appropriate repairs and/or production process solutions.
- Identifies root cause and recommends/implements correction actions.
- Provide feedback to production and/or engineering regarding the nature and cause of failures.
- Provide both temporary and permanent problem solutions.
- Assist with training other production technicians and test personnel to learn procedures and/or resolve problems.
- .Participate in a team problem solving activity.
- Identification and resolution of issues affecting product yield
- Tracking and resolution of nonconforming material (QN) / interface with Supplier Quality representatives
- Engineering special projects
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Serve as a mentor for the less experienced team members.
- Ensure that all issues concerning Quality and Downtime are properly escalated.
- Ensure that a detailed pass-down is given to the next shift.
- Research product and part specifications
- Ad-hoc database query design for production and test data
- Identification of root cause for module nonconformance to specification
- Associates of Applied Science in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar technical degree, or Military Maintenance Training Certification.
- 2+ years of equivalent experience in Electronics.
