Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.Job Description 1DESCRIPTION: Program and operate CNC (Mori Seiki and Charmilles Micron) machines using either Surf-CAM and/or Master-CAM applications. Responsible for design/validation of CNC holding fixtures/methods, daily troubleshooting of production CNC program issues, and machining methods.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Run multiple machines (2 or more CNC).
  • Program while the machines are running at a standard rate.
  • Training others to run CNC machines.
  • Bluelight inspection on occasion.
  • Help where needed and being team player, Communication is critical.
  • Reading and interpreting design blueprints.
  • Adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met.
  • Performing test runs and making additional adjustments until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications.
  • Performing machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Maintaining machinery, adhering to safety and quality regulations and keeping precise component records.
  • Inspecting the machinery and product for quality assurance.
  • Planning and forecasting stock needs; ordering as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with advanced CNC programming in both a virtual and direct interface.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Ability to read complex airfoil blueprints.
  • Demonstrate strong sense of ownership and dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Extensive background in airfoils layout inspection, CNC machining/programming or tool building. Strong programming background desired.
  • Computer knowledge of Excel, Unigraphics, PC-DMIS, Master-CAM/Surf-CAM.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
