Join our team!The Assistant General Manager’s role is to motivate, instill accountability and achieve results to drive success in the position while maintaining our culture! To provide overall leadership, supervision and direction on operating standards to positively impact business results. The AGM is responsible for helping the General Manager with the overall restaurant’s success through financial, operational, and developmental goals. One who ensures execution of the highest quality of food, beverage and the overall experience for our customers. Focuses on driving standards of excellence and consistent business growth through personal and team developmental goals.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:PEOPLE: Hire, train, retain and develop team
  • Cultivates a team environment that provides exceptional guest service while directing the team and ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level.
  • Assures execution of staff training programs and wine and beer education for the front of the house team
  • Demonstrated ability in developing team members in areas of responsibility
  • Assures FOH staffing levels and coverage is appropriate to meet the needs of the business and maximize the guest experience.
  • Selects and develop shift leaders and Certified Trainers for more responsibility or internal promotability into leadership opportunities
  • Insures execution of all employee recognition and incentive programs as documented
  • Promotes positive employee relations including effective delegation fostering high staff morale, upholding operation standards
SALES & GUEST EXPERIENCE: Participate in the annual budget and business plan to meet targeted financial performance while consistently meeting or exceeding our standard for the guest experience (Quality of Operations)
  • Understanding of store goals by period and your responsibility for setting and meeting FOH departmental goals
  • Maintains a strong community presence through partnership with community and business organizations.
  • Works with the marketing team for operational execution of marketing initiatives and programs.
  • Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, beverages and atmosphere.
  • Promotes our brand through excellent execution of our wine club sales
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff
  • Continuously improves operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating standards and philosophies.
PROFITS: Optimize financial results (drive sales and control costs)
  • Experience in P&L management, results and corrective measures
  • Analyze financial reports and develops action plans to grow revenue and control expenses in order to meet or exceed annual budgets in your area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve expected store financial results in areas of responsibility
  • Maintain systems which insure overall fiscal responsibility for purchasing, invoicing, inventory, etc.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the operation including beverage, equipment, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives.
  • Fully responsible for labor management including labor pro-formas, scheduling, and all payroll activities for all FOH functions
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve expected store financial results in areas of responsibility
  • Working knowledge of Self-Pour wine and beer systems, Restaurant 365 and Go-Tab helpful (Training will be provided)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • This is a new concept; this job requires the ability to assist leadership team in developing and implementing systems and standards
  • This is a DINNER ONLY operation. Shift leadership requirements will be afternoons and evenings.
  • Must have experienced a complete restaurant opening process in a leadership role
  • Brand Ambassador and Culture Champion!
  • Looking for a Level 2 Sommelier (Certified) or similar wine knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge of beer varietals and ability to share knowledge with staff members and guests
  • Ability to help establish and execute a wine club program for our guests and make it an essential part of the experience and sales goals
  • Experience in managing a quality food experience, past kitchen management responsibility helpful (quality, consistency and cost)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve expected store financial results in areas of responsibility
