- Work on all phases of application development (development, testing, bug fixing, deployment, maintenance, and documentation)
- Develop and maintain software according to user story specifications
- Contribute to the quality of the application by writing test cases, developing unit tests, testing and fixing bugs
- Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code
- Support in the creation and maintenance of documentation
- Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings or sprint plannings
- Diploma or MSc in software engineering (university of applied sciences or equivalent).
- Up to 2 years of web software development experience.
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented design and development of web applications (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with using code repositories (e.g. Git)
- Some experience or coursework involving JavaScript frameworks and UI development (Angular preferred)
- Good understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs
- Additional knowledge or interest in the following fields would be an asset: Agile methodologies (SCRUM), Flask, Typescript, Elasticsearch, S3, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, data archiving
- English (written and spoken), French and German are a plus
- Good communication and presentation skills
