Description: The Senior GIS Analyst is responsible for the management of the clients’ enterprise GIS system including management of the SQL database and web development via Portal for ArcGIS. The Senior Analyst will provide advanced geospatial analysis, data validation to ensure GIS records adhere to Army Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) and Army Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), plan and perform data capture and update tasks, provide technical reports, development & delivery of customer training, and provides support of the enterprise geospatial system.Duties include:
  • Assists with managing the onsite geospatial services, ensuring tasks and deadlines are met.
  • Assists with establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Assists PM with on-site management and ensuring that technical requirements are met. Provides expert GIS technical knowledge to direct and control project activities for the client.
  • Provides technical operations for GIS performing detailed spatial and relational database analysis.
  • Responsible for managing the SQL spatial database, performing DBA tasks, and managing the enterprise ArcGIS server to include web-enabled mapping functions and web page interfaces.
  • Manages, updates, and creates geospatial data that strictly adheres to SDSFIE and Army geospatial quality assurance plans (QAPs).
  • Plans, develops, and delivers advanced geospatial products for customer requests.
  • Develops best practices to address customer needs for managing and updating geospatial data to meet specified requirements.
  • Establishes schedules for updating hard copy, digital, and web-based mapping capabilities.
  • Provides input and recommendations from the data analysis to improve GIS data integrity and data relationships between GIS and other business data stakeholders.
  • Provides support for managing the geospatial web interfaces, software, and other geospatial applications.
  • Provides advanced SQL queries, utilizing ArcGIS database tools for analysis and data extraction.
  • Develops and presents custom training, map requests, and analysis for customers. Must be able to provide detailed guidance for implementation into training materials, job aids, and SOPs.
  • Promote adherence and compliance to GIS standards and best practices for all depot data received from capital improvement contracts, including renovations. Knowledge and familiarity with DoD Real Property policies, regulations, along with real property systems of record such as GFEBS and HQIIS.
Proficiency: Windows Server, Python, SQL Server, Data Management, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Insights, Microsoft Office.Knowledge of: ePRISMS, GFEBS, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), AutoCAD.Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in GIS with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing DBA systems (SQL Server, Microsoft Access), and app development in GIS. 5 years’ experience providing geospatial data analysis, updates using ArcGIS products. Must be familiar with SDSFIE data model and standards. Current Security Plus certification is a plus.Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
