Our client, a comprehensive management services provider covering areas such as company formation, corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, trustee, marine, and aviation services, is currently seeking a Senior Legal Associate to join their dynamic team in Malta. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for advising the Company and clients on the execution of legal / commercial transactions and for reviewing, vetting and drafting legal documentation in relation to the said commercial transactions. If you hold the required skills and experience we are looking for, GRS look forward to receiving your CV for this Malta based Senior Legal Associate role.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssisting with legal assessment of commercial transactions, including the drafting and vettingof commercial agreements and ancillary documentationPreparing summaries of key terms, tracking the status of transactions as well as the performance of contractual termsAdvising and supporting the Company alike in their dealings with clients and third partiesBeing the main point of contact for all purchase and sale transactions and liaising with all stakeholders involved on the transaction including lawyers, financiers, advisors, family offices, shareholders and clientsDrafting and reviewing corporate governance documents, including minutes and writtenresolutions, memorandum & articles, proxies and similar documentsFormation and dissolution of legal entities in Malta and possibly in other jurisdictionsAssisting with corporate matters related to the management and administration of client EntitiesLiaising with authorities in multiple jurisdictions as well as other professional services firms tosupport clients in all their requirementsManaging an electronic and hardcopy filing systemConducting legal research on various topics as may be required by the CompanyUndertaking other duties from time-to-time as the Company may reasonably requireKeeping abreast of developments in local and international legislation and regulations vis-à vis the maritime and aviation sectors and other relevant lawsUpholding company’s values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and equalityCANDIDATE PROFILEQualified lawyer with a warrant to practice law in MaltaA minimum of three years’ relevant experience working in yachting and maritime law and in corporate environmentStrong team-player with experience of working in a dynamic organisation and able to buildbridges between the different stakeholders within the organisationHands-on and with attention to detail.
