In this role you’ll perform acquisition due diligence, develop financial valuation models, evaluate capital projects and strategic initiatives, and work on other special projects. Additionally, there will be opportunity to work alongside the FP&A and Investor relations team. The position provides a great opportunity to learn the telecommunications business, gain experience in evaluating investment opportunities of many kinds, work on strategic, value-add organizational initiatives, and work with colleagues across all functional areas and levels within the company, including the senior management team.What you will do to contribute to the company's success
  • Analyze acquisition and strategic investment opportunities, including preparation of detailed financial valuation models and internal presentations
  • Participate in the end-to-end acquisition process including business assessment, due diligence, valuation, and post-closing integration tasks such as preparing monthly financial forecasts and budgets of newly acquired businesses
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives such as new market opportunities, network expansions, and other capital investments
  • Ad hoc analyses and other special projects related to strategic initiatives or projects within Cable One, often alongside FP&A and Investor Relations teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong command of finance and M&A concepts, and advanced proficiency in creating complex financial models in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills through proficient use of PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment across multiple functional areas to meet aggressive goals
  • Capacity to work flexible hours to include overtime, weekends, or holidays to meet time-sensitive deliverables
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, high-energy, intellectually curious individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment
