- System Analysis and Design: Analyze system dynamics, develop mathematical models, and design control algorithms to achieve performance objectives.
- Ability to read blueprint drawings, schematic, logic, and one-line diagrams.
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently. Has the ability to plan and organize own work.
- Responsible for estimating labor and materials and for the safe and economic use of resources.
- Looks for and acts on opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ability to grasp complex issues and apply good problem-solving skills to develop recommendations/solutions.
- Build positive working relationships with peers and other crafts, both internally and externally to TWC.
- Effective communication is essential for understanding client requirements, collaborating with team members, and providing clear instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to excel in this role.
- Be on call for any issues with power generation assets and affected customers.
- Proficiency in the conceptualization and design of industrial automation system architectures.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), including programming languages such as ladder logic and function block diagrams.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and DeviceNet for interfacing with various automation devices.
- Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for monitoring and controlling industrial processes, including configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with a wide range of process instruments such as flow meters, level sensors, temperature controllers, and pressure transmitters used in industrial automation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies for optimizing production processes, reducing waste, and improving efficiency in industrial automation environments.
