Healthcare Support Worker

Location: Radius Millstream, 20 Hanrahan Street, Allenton, Ashburton 7700Hours of work: Full time, minimum 30 hours per week. Must have flexibility to work rostered shiftsPay Rate: $26.16 - $28.25 per hour - subject to completed caregiving qualificationAbout the RoleProvide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.Some Duties include but not limited to:

Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience

New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent), OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) AND 3 years of relevant experience
People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
Good written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
