Job DescriptionPosition DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our remote engineering team. This role focuses on developing scalable and secure software solutions using Java programming, alongside a range of other modern technologies. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving the success of diverse projects, adapting to different technological and business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement high-quality software solutions using Java and functional programming principles.Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks to create robust and scalable architectures.Write clean, maintainable code, and perform code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality.Collaborate with project managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to translate software design into workable programming code.Utilize cloud technologies across platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure, focusing on services like cloud storage, serverless solutions, Docker, and Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.Implement security best practices across the software development lifecycle to protect data and systems, adhering to the security standards of various cloud providers.Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to foster team development.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development and cloud computing.Work night shift hours from 4pm to 12am IST.QualificationsRequired Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.7+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in Java and functional programming.Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services, serverless architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience with at least two of the following technologies: Node.js, React, Angular, Python, Go, Scala.Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or leading project teams.Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform well in a remote setting, and capable of managing multiple priorities.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Certifications in Java, Google Cloud Platform, or other relevant technologies.Experience in Agile methodologies and familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Additional InformationBENEFITS & PERKS FOR WORKING AT OLLIONOur employees multiply their potential because they have opportunities to: Create a lasting Impact, Learn and Grow professionally & personally, Experience great Culture, and Be your Whole Self!Beyond an amazing, collaborative work environment, great people, and inspiring, innovative work, we have some great benefits and perks:
