- Provide administrative support to the Collections department staff, utilizing a servicing-based philosophy.
- Update member forced placed insurance information on auto loans, communicating with insurance companies and assessing needs on delinquent accounts.
- Assist in the auto repossession process including but not limited to submitting repossession invoices and notices.
- Providing automobile titles for repossession sales and State National insurance claims
- Assist in the legal process on deceased and bankruptcy file maintenance and providing research assistance.
- Assist Recovery department on Collections file maintenance.
- Close credit card accounts and send adverse action notices.
- Upload account documents into collection system
- Track and update of collection loan extensions
- Responsible for reviewing daily voicemails and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Review and approve payment errors with the appropriate steps needed.
- Respond and review collection department emails assisting in the proper distribution and taking of next steps.
- Receive daily impound notices and follow up on next steps.
- Post insurance claim payments
- Assist in the responsibility of answering inbound collection calls in an effort to direct credit union members to the appropriate personnel.
- Order office supplies
- Maintain confidentiality with all account information.
- Follow all company policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain Credit Union 1 records in compliance with audit & retention standards.
- Build member satisfaction and loyalty through elite, best-in-class service.
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in auto collections, banking, or customer service, preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Individuals with a positive attitude that are motivated to contribute to a team and company culture.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
- Keyboard and computer skills
- Able to work Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm CST
