- Manages and resolves complex employee relations/disciplinary issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Partners with local schools to participate in job fairs and recruiting events.
- Facilitates the onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to supervisors (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Delivers training and OJTs to employees on HR related topics.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and managers.
- Assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Ensures compliance with EEO and OFCCP guidelines.
- Manages and facilitates the drug/alcohol testing program.
- Plans and supports information meetings such as open enrollment and meetings to announce or discuss changes in company policies and/or programs.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner experience, particularly in the areas of recruiting and onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy administration.
- Experience with effectively coaching employees and leadership through complex issues.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Deep knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SAP SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
