Lloyd Staffing is working with a non-profit organization dedicated to managing homeless shelters throughout New York City. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join their team in various boroughs.Lloyd is HIRING IMMEDIATELY:DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: INDEPENDENT LIVING SPECIALIST-Provide comprehensive case management services to a challenging caseload of mentally ill, homeless adults.-Assist with obtaining benefits, referrals for treatment, monitoring hygiene and teaching independent living skills, escorts to and advocacy for entitlements and housing appointments, and housing placement.-Facilitate weekly psycho educational group.-Generate ongoing progress and group notes as well as monthly statistical reports.-Participate in clinical team, case conference, and other staff meetings.-Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.-Perform additional related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED required ( THIS WILL BE VERIFIED - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT PROVE YOU HAVE A HS DIPLOMA OR GEDREQUIREMENTS:Minimum two years’ experience working with homeless, mentally ill, or MICA population required, Computer skills, Written and verbal' skills, HS Diploma/GED requiredGED OR High School Diploma ( There will be a background check for Education )SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday7:00AM - 3:00PMJob Types: Full-time, Contract, TemporarySalary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 per weekBenefits availableLet me know if you or know of anyone who would be interested in this position!!
